Golf
2020 - Present
Summary
Aside from a few rounds with my dad as a little kid, I started really playing golf in the spring of 2020, when I was 15. The next year, my sophomore year of high school, I played my first season with my school team. Pretty quickly, I figured out that golf was something I was naturally decent at, and I wanted to keep getting better at it. By the time I finished high school, the team had managed to go to state all three years that I played, with me leading the team as the one bag for the last two. In my senior year, I secured a 12th-place individual finish and an All-State selection. Towards the end of high school, I had a few options to play college golf for smaller schools, but I decided on CSU to experience a bigger, established university and study something I knew would give me good opportunities down the road.

At first, being in college and seeing my younger teammates continue to experience the tournaments and golf-oriented schedule I used to be a part of was tough, and I was scared that I'd lose my touch with the game. What I found instead was that my passion for getting better only continued to grow, and my game has continued to improve since.

I think saying that I've "learned things" from the game of golf would be an understatement. The patience, consistency, composure under pressure, and mental toughness and intelligence of the game is something that's become a part of who I am as a result.
